With the Decline 15th anniversary picture disc announcement been and gone, as well as the full length from toyGuitar being released soon, the focus turns to a new project from Fat Mike: The Home Street Home concept album from the musical of the same name.

November 19th, 2014

As more records see their release dates moved (Dwarves) or announced (toyGuitar) we also learn of the sad passing of the FAT office's beloved mascot Bruiser. RIP old buddy, it was nice knowing you.

October 26th, 2014

As the homies prepare for Fest and patiently wait on the next big announcement on FAT (Decline anyone?), why not have a read of another special Fatwreckwiki interview-thing-a-ma-bob? We are proud (with a big Thanks to our Fat Wreck Wiki contributor haribo) to publish the English language transcript of an exclusive Joey Cape interview, which was originally posted on in Croatian. Nice!

October 10, 2014

Not even a month has gone by and we could write 5 new announcements. Preorders for Hang and Fistful of Hollow have gone up, as well as Chris Cresswell's solo LP. The new CJ Ramone full length Last Chance to Dance has been slated as a late November release. The big news is the arrival of the Dwarves on FAT, shortly after releasing their latest album "Invented Rock 'n' Roll" a follow up single Gentleman Blag has been announced.

September 17, 2014

Check out our first ever Fat Wreck Wiki exclusive interview: Bad Cop/Bad Cop give us the scoop on their upcoming full-length album, discuss favorite Fat bands, and explain Dre Day to a German dude. Click here!

As you probably saw on the their news page, Fat put out a set of three flexi-discs last weekend, sold exclusively (for now?) at the Riot Fest Flea Market in Chicago, aptly named Fat Music For Riot Fest People. It features a new song from both Lagwagon as well as Swingin' Utters, sweetening the wait for their respective new albums. The Swingin' Utters song can be listened to in this stream as well.

September 9, 2014

Chris Cresswell joins the FAT roster as a solo artist and we await the release of One Week Record, originally released on the Capers aptly named One Week Records.

August 29, 2014

With the cat out of the bag on the artwork and song list for the new LagWagon album we anxiously await the pre-order for Hang. Also, Swingin Utter' upcoming LP, Fistful of Hollow has been announced with a November release date.

The Tony Sly fund has raised in excess of $100,000! Read Fat's message to all the people that bought the album and contributing artists. Congratulations on this achievement!

August 12, 2014

On July 31st, as we mourned the second anniversary of Tony Sly's untimely passing, we saw the good people at Fatwreck remind us of some of Tony's finest work, Never forget Tony Sly!

Lagwagon announced their new ałbum "Hang", much anticipated! this will see an October release with the cover artwork yet to be revealed.

And as we mentioned the poll at dying scene below, FAT today published the news of CJ Ramone joining the Fatwreck roster, making DS' prognosis at #27 "Yeah, the Ramones were great once upon a time. We just can’t picture CJ on a label like Fat and neither can you." a truly enjoyable 'egg on your face' moment! Well that being said, we can see him on the Wiki...

July 11, 2014

Seems like the Dying Scene poll we mentioned had it right, toyGuitar are indeed the latest FAT signing and thereby our latest addition to the Wiki. Stay tuned for updates on their first release later this year.

Other June News

Our very own Matt Frodsham (froj) created this awesome animation for Less Than Jake's official Do the Math video. Pretty awesome we think. See for yourself:

June 26, 2014

After not quite surprising us with the Mad Caddies Brand New Scar 7" bundled with a Hi-Standard classic 7" repress, we were today somewhat perplexed about the introduction of The Dirty Nil's new single. Whether this is the next big FAT signing after the Night Birds's recent news, we don't yet know but in the meantime check them out on Bandcamp.

End of May, 2014

With Punk Rock Bowling over and a few more releases out it is time to unhook your bowling claw like fingers from your nostrils and find a new pastime. So whilst you wait for your Potemkin reissue to arrive or your San Francisco agent to post your store parcel, why not spend a few minutes either guessing FAT's new signing at Dying Scene's ridiculous poll or writing to your local police office to figure out why the new Masked Intruder LP M.I. is inexplicably delayed...? Whilst you puzzle over this, you might as well wonder why the new Copyrights 7" is one FAT but not the new Copyrights LP...?

April 17, 2014

RSD tomorrow and Fat already went out large last night by announcing more 7" and one LP. Whilst the first Uke Hunt full length, the self-titled Uke-Hunt was rumoured about for a few weeks, the first Less Than Jake 7" on Fat Do the Math was more of a surprise. Topping this is a new Sundowner release, a live single called Little Elephant Sessions which hit the news pages late last week. Begs the question what RSD has in store at Fat? No prices for store copies of Stoke Extinguisher and we guess that Strung Out Boxsets will get the store label treatment. More? Tomorrow will tell...

April 4, 2014

Busy week for the guys at Fat. After OMM's new 7" went up for preorder on Wednesday, they topped it immediately the following day by announcing M.I., Masked Intruder's follow up release to their much acclaimed debut LP. Bad month for your wallet, but pretty awesome schedule of pending releases, we think...

March 21, 2014

As Scorpios are getting delivered by postmen all over the globe they made it to the Wiki. Sad as it is to see them without Tony, it is still good to see them having finally got their own page. In other news, as the latest pre-orders go up Mad Caddies' Keep it Going gets a first time ever vinyl makeover, which is nice.

March 10, 2014

And just when you think that there has been enough news this week, FAT announces the new Me First and the Gimme Gimmes album Are We Not Men? We Are Diva!. The title is a cunning reference to DEVO's 1978 debut album Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!. Although that is were the similarity ends as the Gimmes cover songs by Divas such as Madonna, Barbra Streisand and Gloria Gaynor to name a few. Album out May 13th, pre-order most likely much sooner.

March 07, 2014

Uke Hunt (now say it out loud!), the newest band on the Fat roster sports a familiar face, Spike Slawson of Me First and the Gimme Gimmes and Swingin' Utters fame. Initially conceived as a straightforward project combining only ukulele and voice, this luau gradually evolved into much more than a party of one. Well, after a song on the last Fest compilation Fat Music For Fest People III, their new 7" will finally be out April 29th.

March 05, 2014

Well the new Banner Pilot album, "Souvenirs" had been announced a few weeks ago, now you can listen to the first song from it via Noisey/Vice. Plus a few new gig dates have been scheduled this spring.

February 26, 2014

What seems like 5 years in the making judging by the catalog number Fat have finally announced the new Mad Caddies album. It will be called "Dirty Rice", and will be released on May 13th!

And indeed this is the band’s first proper full length of new material in seven years!

February 17, 2014

The Template for album/record pages has been published for simple Copy and paste creation of album pages. If you never created a page before, do it now! It is as easy as...well a very easy thing.

January 21, 2014

Fat announces the re-release of the Joey Cape back catalog which includes his solo releases as well as collaborations with Jon Snodgrass and Tony Sly. Check out the Joey Cape discography for updates or add these yourself.

January 17, 2014

A new year, and new things. Fat made us all wonder what the big thing is that could be coming this year. So far there has been news on the Strung Out Box set and the latest addition to the Fat stable, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, a 4 piece all grrl band from California, together with a brand new 7" scheduled for release in April.
