01 Aug, 2012 - Tony Sly has Passed Away

From Fat Wreck Chords:

It is with great sorrow that we must say goodbye to Tony Sly of No Use For A Name. We received a call earlier today of his passing, and are devastated. We have lost an incredible talent, friend, and father – one of the true greats. Fat Mike had this to say: “One of my dearest friends and favorite song writers has gone way too soon. Tony, you will be greatly missed.”

23 Dec, 2009 - Update For No Use And Tony Sly Solo Record

Hi everyone,

I thought I would do a blog before the new year and the holidays to let you know what is happening with me and with No Use. I am putting out my first solo LP called 12 Song Program on Fat Wreck Chords on 2/16/10. You can also check out some tour dates there I will be doing in early 2010.

Now that all the solo writing and recording is behind me I have penciled in the month of January to write and demo for the next No Use For A Name record. We hope to do some touring in Mexico and Central/South America in 2010 also.

Happy Holidays, Tony

30 Oct, 2009 - Happy Halloween

Hi, we are still in Japan. I have to say this is the best Japan tour we have ever had. Today we were supposed to have a day-off but it's Halloween and we needed an excuse to dress up so we are playing a short acoustic set at Club Quattro in Tokyo! Also, Matt is putting together a video diary of this current tour of Asia. I have seen some of it and it's going to be awesome, so watch out for that too.

Take care, Tony
